Modular conveyors are particularly suitable wherever increased resistance of the belt to temperatures and mechanical damage is required.
They are suitable for moving lump goods. They can work separately or be integrated into other technological lines.
Technical design of the standard modular conveyor:
The basic frame of the conveyor is made of aluminium grooved profiles of the “item” modular system, the top of the profile is always fitted with parallel slide-way which bear the travelling belt and its load
Modular belts are made up of modules with a pitch of 1/2” to 2”, the modules are interlinked by means of rigid plastic bars
Belt movement is secured by a driving shaft via sprocket wheels
The driving and driven shafts are made of zinc-plated iron
The drive comprises a compact unit composed of a three-phase asynchronous electric drive and a worm-gear system.
The speed is either constant or it can be controlled by means of frequency converter
The terminal turnbuckles are used for setting the slack at the belt bottom side. The slack compensates for variations in the length of the belt due to thermal expansion and changes in load
The return side of the belt may be fitted with one or several supporting rollers
Belt speed is up to 50 m/min
The conveyor is normally supplied with the supporting structure. The structure of the conveyor is made of aluminium grooved profiles of the “item” modular system. The supporting structure can also be designed and manufactured with an adjustable height
The conveyor is also available including electrical connection
Advantages of modular conveyors:
Possibility of choosing from four types of materials for modular belts with different properties and application areas
Long lifetime of the belt
Possibility of fitting the belt with longitudinal and transversal profiles
Possibility of using special technological or production operations directly on the conveyor (e.g. blowing, degreasing, oil dripping into the sink under the conveyor, etc.)
When damaged, only the affected part is replaced, which represents a significant financial saving on a long-term basis
Various types of modular links, which ensures a wide application area of these conveyors
Further accessories available for the conveyors:
Mechanical endstop
Adjustable or fixed side guidance
Motor 1x230V
Electrical connection of conveyors, incl. such elements as optical sensors with a cat's eye, safety STOP buttons, etc.
Special solution:
Conveyor wit supporting structure - used for integration into the customer’s existing plant
Conveyor with supporting structure, platform and lighting - for operations which are carried out directly on the conveyor
Modular curve - either free-standing or integrated into the parts of the conveyor
