V-belt drives are found in many applications, though they have been produced for the entire century. V-belt has been innovated many times in the past, a number of its modifications can be seen even today.
We are focused mainly on the design of new drives or the optimisation of the existing V-belt drives. We respond to the customers’ requirements for an extended lifetime, reduced dimensions, reduced noise level, and operating or purchase cost cutting. We often help to manage situations with problematic drives (heavy duty operation, high performance or rates, belt vibrations, etc.).
Calculation software Design Flex® ProTM is used for designing the drives; we are ready to install this software for free upon request, or you can download it by clicking

The V-belt drives are covered by a wide range of V-belts manufactured by GATES, which is a world-leading company in this industry, characterised by the continuous innovation of the belts.
V-belt pulleys are supplied to accommodate the TaperLock® clamping bush or as a semi-finished product with a pre-drilled bore or a solid hub. Belt pulleys are made of grey cast iron, or optionally (upon request) of aluminium.
Belt tensioners or clamping bushes are frequent parts of the V-belt drive; they are used to clamp the V-belt pulley to the shaft.
Correct installation and adjustment, primarily belt tensioning and pulley alignment, are vital for the correct operation of the drive. Installation employs a mechanical or frequency meter of pre-load SONIC; for the correct assembly of pulleys, a laser meter LASER AT1 is used.
