Polyurethane belts

For transport purposes we most often use polyurethane toothed belts welded as endless belt. If the standard belt itself is not enough, we use several custom modification options for specific transport applications. The choice of appropriate solution depends on the type of application and the required function.

Transport layers increase or decrease the coefficient of friction, they are resistant to cuts, we distinguish between abrasion resistance, heat resistant layers and others. We can also ensure the transport of goods or materials by means of welded or mechanically mounted carriers. Toothed belts as well as transport layers can then be mechanically machined to improve functionality - by grinding, punching, milling teeth or belt back, water jet cutting.

We are ready to help you with consulting and designing a suitable solution.

Cutting belts

We offer both neoprene and polyurethane toothed belts in wide sleeves from which we can prepare width needed for your application. The minimum and maximum length is from 130 mm to 25.000 mm.

Mechanical fastening system

The system is a practical and functional mechanical fastening system which allows quick installation or replacement of endless belts without disassembling parts of the machine and specific equipment. This results in time saving and consequent maintenance cost reduction..

The main applications of mechanical joints are found in transport applications.

Mechanical cleats

Mechanical fastening system of the cleats is gaining its popularity due to its advantages over belts with welded one. The possibility of using almost any material and profile shape is another huge benefit of this system.

Welded cleats

Toothed belts made of a thermoplastic polyurethane compound can be provided with welded cleats for use primarily in transport applications.

The selection of the cleats design depends on the transported object and purpose of the transport. The cleats can be made in almost any shape and design.

Transport layers

Polyurethane toothed belts can be provided on the back with transport layers with different characteristics that allow use of these belts in a wide range of transport applications.

The choice of a suitable type of transport layer is based mainly on the characteristics of the object to be transported and the necessary adhesion. High friction transport layers provide a good grip effect, low friction layers reduce the power requirement of the power unit, soft layers are suitable for transport of fragile objects while the hard layers are suitable for conveying sharp-edged objects.

Welded polyurethane belts

For the production of welded toothed belts, open end PU is made of highly resistant thermoplastic material using tensions members, most often steel one which is further thermally workable which means we can use special welding equipment to join it into an endless belt. At the joint area is splitted by finger punch also with tension menbers, causion allowable tensile load is less about 50 % of the transmittable strength of the open end belts.

Mechanical machining

To improve functionality, the belts can be mechanically modified.

Higher back side can be used for such purposes allowing wide range of design alternatives, such kind belts have lower flexibility, so pulleys of larger diameters are needed. Flexibility of these belts can be improved by cross cutting or grooving.
